Blue Crab Trading Company Package Coverage Policy

All packages are shipped shipper release. This means the package is left without a signature. This is the way perishable products must be shipped. The receiver takes full responsibility to receive the package. Blue Crab Trading Company is not liable for any package once tendered to the shipping company. This is includes packages that are stolen once delivered.

Package Coverage will not cover any packages that are stolen after delivery.

Package Coverage does not cover incorrect shipping information provided by the customer, this is includes phone orders. It is the responsibility of the customer to check confirmation email to make sure all delivery information is correct.

UPS and Fed Ex have 36 hours from the scheduled delivery date to get the package to the customer. After 36 hours from the schedule delivery date the package Coverage can be used to replace the product and reship the package or give a monetary refund. ( Our packages are packed to last extra days in transit.)

If a product arrives after 36 hours from scheduled delivery date and the product is still in good condition the package Coverage will cover the shipping costs only not the product costs. If the product is not in good condition the package Coverage will cover both shipping and the product cost.

The Package Coverage plan will not cover any extra costs then the exact value of the invoice. A replacement shipment of the exact same product is an acceptable form of compensation under this policy.

Blue Crab Trading Package Coverage will not cover any products left to sit unattended for more then 12 hours by the customer. Blue Crab Trading must be notified via phone within 48 hours with a customers intent to make a claim.

Blue Crab Trading Package Coverage covers spoilage of any package not delivered within 48 hours of initial delivery date. It additionally covers any delivery to the incorrect address by the shipping company. Furthermore it will cover any damaged package that causes the food to spoil.

(Most cases the cooler is designed to still keep temperature with damage to the cooler.)

If you decline the Blue Crab Trading Package Coverage you will not receive any type of compensation from Blue Crab Trading Co if something should happen to your package.

If you accept the Blue Crab Trading Package Coverage you are entering into a agreement with Blue Crab Trading Co that you understand all the above conditions of package Coverage.

IF YOU DECLINE THE PACKAGE COVERAGE AND THE PACKAGE IS LOST, DAMAGED OR LATE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANOTHER PACKAGE OR REIMBURSEMENT OF ANY KIND.
