At Blue Crab Trading Company we pack our live orders with only the liveliest crabs. Average mortality rates can be in excess of 30% of the entire order.  Blue Crab Trading Compnay cannot be liable for DEAD LOSS as it is expected, not limited to but including circumstances that are out of our control, such as; shipping environment due to extreme weather, rough handling, or delayed delivery by the shipper.If you want every crab to be edible, BTCT strongly recommends ordering your crabs steamed. However if you are instant on live Crabs, please note that we provide no guarantees on the number of Crabs that will arrive to your location alive.  The crabs condition upon arrival is not guaranteed. Blue Crab Trading Company cannot refund any monies for dead loss in live shipments.

*Blue Crab Trading Company recommends that customers exercise caution ordering live crabs in extreme cold and warm temperatures, as crabs do not live as well at these temperatures. Additionally in areas where shipping conditions fall below 32 degrees crabs can freeze and cause mortality.
