Our live crabs are caught daily direct from our own fleet of crabbing boats. We directly transport our fresh catch to our state of art crab houses and internet shipping department. We ensure freshness they are then shipped overnight direct to your door in less than 24 hours.

Blue Crab Trading Company boasts the largest grading scale in the business, at an affordable price. We measure our crabs on the 1/2 inch point to point on scale. We have not lost our "Old Maryland" crab grading standards. Many crab houses have been forced to abandoned this scale as it has become difficult to catch Extra Larges and Legends.

At Blue Crab Trading Company we pack our live orders with only the liveliest crabs. Average mortality rates can be in excess of 30% of the entire order.  Blue Crab Trading Compnay cannot be liable for DEAD LOSS as it is expected, not limited to but including circumstances that are out of our control, such as; shipping environment due to extreme weather, rough handling, or delayed delivery by the shipper.If you want every crab to be edible, BTCT strongly recommends ordering your crabs steamed. However if you are instant on live Crabs, please note that we provide no guarantees on the number of Crabs that will arrive to your location alive.  The crabs condition upon arrival is not guaranteed. Blue Crab Trading Company cannot refund any monies for dead loss in live shipments.

*Blue Crab Trading Company recommends that customers exercise caution ordering live crabs in extreme cold and warm temperatures, as crabs do not live as well at these temperatures. Additionally in areas where shipping conditions fall below 32 degrees crabs can freeze and cause mortality.
